PROBLEM
Design and craft a vinyl album cover for an artist of any choosing. The album should be a compilation of the artists work that follows a consistent theme with relevant songs that correlate to the album. The branding should also remain consistent with the artists previous singles and albums, staying true to the artist. The album cover must also include experimental typography on the album - done by hand - which shares a relationship with the imagery and theme.
SOLUTION
The Lil Dicky album cover has been inspired by his previous album "Professional Rapper" as well as his music video to the single "Earth." The elements of the album cover are intended to feel playful and tangible to the audience. The cover is intended to be humorous and visually interesting, with elements the viewer must break down such as the setting and which parts are miniature scale and which are real.
The setting is intended to look like a well maintained lawn of perhaps a mansion or an expensive golfing resort. The idea behind this is the artist cannot actually afford to live in a place like this so they have a miniature scale of it - symbolizing they have not yet made to to become a real celebrity; hence the title "Middle Class Celebrity."
